• Activity — interests sent and received, profiles shortlisted, searches you run.
• Device & technical — IP address, browser type, basic logs needed for security and reliability.

• To create and maintain your account and profile.
• To match you with compatible members and personalise your experience.
• To verify identity (phone OTP, email confirmation, optional Google SSO).
• To respond to your requests and provide support.
• To detect, prevent and address fraud, abuse or security issues.
• To comply with legal obligations.

3. What we never do

• We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
• We do not display your contact information to other members without your consent.
• We do not use your photos for advertising outside the Service.

4. Your controls

• Privacy settings — choose who can see your photos and personal details.
• Hide profile — temporarily hide your profile from search.
• Edit or delete — update any field at any time, or delete your account from Settings.
• Block & report — block any member and report inappropriate behaviour.

5. Cookies

We use only the cookies necessary to keep you signed in (an httpOnly session cookie) and to remember your preferences. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.

6. Data retention

We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account we delete or anonymise your profile data, except where law requires us to keep records (for example, records of misuse).

7. Security

Passwords are stored as one-way hashes (bcrypt). Sessions are protected by httpOnly cookies. We use industry-standard encryption in transit (TLS). No system is perfectly secure — please choose a strong, unique password and enable phone verification.

8. Children

The Service is intended for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via the Service or email.
